Lead your own supply drive in support of Gear Up for School. Purchases made through your drive go directly toward the supplies included in every backpack. This is a powerful way to engage your workplace, team, or community while helping students start the school year prepared. How it Works Through our partnership with Roonga, you can: ✔ Launch a custom Gear Up for School purchasing page ✔ Invite employees, clients, or community members to participate ✔ Track your progress and impact in real time ✔ Contribute directly to backpack assembly and distribution We provide the tools; your team shares and participates. What is Patrons for Education? Patrons for Education is Gear Up for School’s community partnership program. It offers flexible ways for individuals, businesses, and organizations to support students across New Hampshire. There are two primary ways to participate:
What does it mean to “underwrite” a school supply? Underwriting a supply means your contribution helps fund a specific item, such as backpacks, notebooks, or pencils, for every backpack distributed through Gear Up for School. Do I have to choose a specific supply to sponsor? No. You may underwrite individual supplies, support multiple supply categories, or make a general contribution. Many partners choose a combination approach to maximize their impact. Are we donating physical supplies? No. All contributions are supply purchases that go directly to Gear Up for School. This ensures consistency across all backpacks and allows us to maximize the impact of every donation. What does it mean to “lead a drive”? Leading a drive means hosting your own back-to-school supply effort, whether as a company, team, or individual, that contributes directly to Gear Up for School. Through our partnership with Roonga Inc., we can create a customized purchasing page for you to invite others to participate, and track your collective impact. How does hosting a drive work? We can launch a dedicated purchasing page, set a goal, and invite employees, colleagues, or community members to contribute. Supplies are purchased through a streamlined system and integrated into Gear Up for School’s overall distribution. Can we both host a drive and make a donation? Absolutely. Organizations can choose to lead a drive while also underwriting supplies or making a direct contribution. This combined approach maximizes both engagement and impact. How are supplies purchased and distributed? Supplies are purchased in bulk through negotiated pricing to maximize impact. Backpacks are assembled by volunteers and distributed to students across New Hampshire through trusted schools, nonprofits, and community partners. Can individuals and small businesses participate? Yes. Patrons for Education is open to individuals, families, small businesses, and organizations of all sizes. You can donate, lead a drive, or do both. How will Patrons be recognized? Recognition is based on total contribution and level of involvement. Options may include website recognition, social media acknowledgment, event recognition, and item-level sponsorships for those who opt in. When will Gear Up for School take place? The anticipated dates for Gear Up for School are: Thrusday, August 6th – Set-Up Day & Pencil Case Assembly Friday, August 7th – Backpack Assembly Day Whether you choose to give, lead, or do both, your support helps ensure every student starts the school year prepared and confident.
